Joking guys!

Have waited a while till the site was up and running..looks good too.

We have been back from Bali around 4 weeks.
Stayed at the Mandira, hubby and 2 kids..boy 14, girl 12.

Was the busiest we have ever seen Bali and this was our 14th trip.

A lot of the traders were complaining tho about not enough business...we kind of felt that most of the tourists were repeat visitors...and knew all the scams so were a lot wiser than in the past, and werent able to be ripped off as much...lol

lots of Russians everywhere...heaps of Europeans...a lot of older Aussies and surprisingly, more noisy than the young ones..

The Mandira was fine..packed tho..not many Aussies.
The room we were in was getting a little tired and for the price, we felt that we could of done better elsewhere.

Its still a great position and I guess thats what you pay for...altho the same type of room at the Melasti..I know..I know...its dickhead heaven!..but it was half the cost!..thats if you could get in..which you couldnt anyway.

We went and had a look at Puri Tanah Lot, which you guys have been recommending..was packed out also, but the room we saw looked fine and was like one fifth the cost at the Mandira.
Of course it is a budget hotel and not as classy, but hey....at that cost it takes a lot to go wrong to make you look elsewhere.We even had a snack there one lunchtime and couldnt agree more about the food and service...great value..best juices around and like 7000rp????

We will definitely look at this hotel when we go back in May next year.

Felt the meals had all gone up in price at all the favorite places and quality gone way down...maybe a sign of them being too busy...but for all the people there, a lot of restaurants were empty at night.

Had great meals at KORI altho in the past it has been ordinary.

Wrapper snapper which you recommended was a good fish meal...bit far to go tho.

And Echo Beach was fabulous..great Sunday night for families...great atmosphere..kids could get up and fool round with the band..was great fun...and cheap.

Went to the Safari park for the first time...great value...

Waterbom park was great for the kids...we got sunburnt!

rate was around 8,500 all the time we were there..great rate.

Thats about it...Bali hasnt changed...lol
